Welcome to Melissa’s 2025 Quarter 4 Global Address Newsletter. We have some exciting developments in the works that we believe will be great new additions for our users.

We have done a revamp of our Kuwait address engine. We are pleased to report that our pattern recognition and coding rates have jumped significantly.
Spain is a country where it is hard to get high-quality single-source data since Correos Spain does not provide a full address database. So, Melissa has added multiple data providers to get the best coverage we can. We continue to improve Spain in the data available, as well as improving coding rates by training our engine with an increasing number of patterns.

Last quarter, we introduced new high-quality data for Poland. This quarter, we have continued to improve Poland and increase the pattern recognition and overall coding rate. Additionally, Melissa Address Key numbers (MAK) are now available as well.

Melissa has been a SERP-certified vendor using official Point of Call (POCAD) data from CanadaPost for many years. However, with Canada having large swaths of rural land, there are still many addresses not serviced by CanadaPost and not in their official data set. Melissa is proud to introduce new non-postal data for Canada to allow our users to verify real addresses not in the POCAD data.

We are working towards some major new updates and features in upcoming releases:
Melissa is happy to announce our new relationship with Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos, also known as Correios. They are the national postal service provider for Brazil, the 7th most populated country in the world with over 212 million people. Bazil has always been a tough country to provide address verification for. We are now working on bringing the official postal data into our source and getting it incorporated. Please stay tuned.

Alternate Great Britain and Ireland
WMelissa is happy to partner with both Royal Mail and EIRCode to provide the premium postal data available for both countries. Although that is the best data available and best suited for most users, usage of that data does come with royalty stipulations and costs stipulated by those postal agencies. As an alternative, Melissa is working on alternative data sources for users who don’t need postal data.

Improved Country Detection
We often can see addresses where there is no country in the input, or the country is not where it is supposed to be. While we already have logic to detect a country if it is in the address lines, there are still more improvements that can be made. We are undergoing an intensive research, analysis, and development project to improve our country detection. We expect to have this available around the middle of 2026.
New Zealand Post is one of the postal partners that Melissa leverages in our Address engine. However, like with many postal authorities, they don’t deliver to every physical address and there are some non-postal addresses that are left out of their data. We are also excited to be adding non-postal data for this country to fill in that gap. We expect this to arrive in the first or second quarter of 2026
